Legion, also known as David Haller, made his way into our lives on February 8, 2017, making us laugh and leaving us with questions like “what just happened?” Let’s get to know this X-Men character.
Legion is known in the X-Men universe as the son of Professor X, aka Charles Xavier, although this has not yet been addressed in the series. He is an omega-level mutant, meaning his powers have no defined limit. He has the ability to control all forms of mental manipulation, energy, and bending time.
So, what makes him “Legion“? We can explain this by his dissociative personality disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder, which makes him so intriguing. Each of his personalities has control over one of his powers. When the transition occurs between these personalities in David Haller’s mind, a legion is formed, hence the name of our hero. The first season of the show focused heavily on this concept and it is now preparing for its second season. We can expect to see the new season in 2018.
